Breeding Management
One rooster (cock) can serve six to eight hens to obtain fertile eggs.
Fertile eggs must be collected regularly from the nest, keep in cool and well-ventilated place.
About 10-12 number of eggs should be set under brooding hen preferably within two weeks after collection for higher hatchability percentage.
Rural hatchery units can also be established with community-based approach for improved hatchability at field conditions.
